Kenya Mahiga

Product image 1

Kenya Mahiga

A seriously more-ish Kenyan coffee full of juicy blackcurrants, gooseberries and a squeeze of lemony brightness. Creamy, buttery and smooth through the middle, with a gentle sweetness that keeps you reaching for a refill.

Kenyan coffee is typically traded at auction by large multinational buyers. To move closer to the supply chain and ensure more value reaches producers, our import partners worked with local Kenyan companies to bid at this year's auction.

Mahiga Factory is supplied by around 400 producers, each delivering an average of 60kg of coffee cherry. Grown in mineral-rich volcanic soils on the lower forested slopes of Mount Kenya, the high elevation and humid conditions create an ideal environment for exceptional coffee.

Kenya’s central region has abundant fresh water, so most coffees are washed, soaked and washed again. This process helps create the clarity and brightness Kenyan coffee is famous for.
